Μπορεί να μην γνωρίζουμε πολλά για το πότε θα είναι ασφαλές να συνεχίσουμε να ταξιδεύουμε διεθνώς ή πόσο σύντομα θα αρχίσουν να άρουν οι ταξιδιωτικοί περιορισμοί οι χώρες. Αυτό που γνωρίζουμε είναι ότι το ταξίδι θα είναι θεμελιωδώς διαφορετικό στο μέλλον.
Οι αεροπορικές εταιρείες, τα αεροδρόμια, τα κρουαζιερόπλοια και τα ξενοδοχεία θα πρέπει όλοι να αναπτύξουν και να συμμορφωθούν με νέες οδηγίες σχετικά με την κοινωνική απόσταση, τον καθαρισμό και την εξυπηρέτηση τροφίμων.

Μέχρι να αλλάξει, μπορούμε να ονειρευτούμε. Σύμφωνα με τα Εθνικά Ινστιτούτα Υγείας, ο απλός προγραμματισμός ενός μελλοντικού ταξιδιού μπορεί να προκαλέσει αμέτρητη χαρά.
Το σοκ που προέρχεται από τον ταξιδιωτικό κλάδο, ο οποίος συνήθως αντιπροσωπεύει το 10% της παγκόσμιας οικονομίας, μπορεί να επηρεάσει ακόμη και τις πιο απομακρυσμένες γωνιές του κόσμου. Κάθε ταξίδι ενός ατόμου ξεκινά ένα φαινόμενο ντόμινο της κατανάλωσης κατευθύνοντας δολάρια σε αεροπορικές εταιρείες, ξενοδόχους, εστιάτορες, οδηγούς ταξί, τεχνίτες, ξεναγούς και καταστηματάρχες, για να αναφέρουμε μερικά.
Συνολικά, η τουριστική βιομηχανία απασχολεί 300 εκατομμύρια άτομα. Ειδικά στις αναπτυσσόμενες χώρες, αυτές οι θέσεις εργασίας μπορούν να παρουσιάσουν μονοπάτια διεξόδου από τη φτώχια.
Η πανδημία έχει θέσει σε κίνδυνο το ένα τρίτο όλων των τουριστικών θέσεων εργασίας, και οι αεροπορικές εταιρείες σε όλο τον κόσμο έχουν δηλώσει ότι χρειάζονται έως και 200 δισεκατομμύρια δολάρια σε bailout.
Παρόλο που οι χώρες έχουν αρχίσει να ανοίγουν προσεκτικά τον τουρισμό σε εγχώριους (και μερικές φορές περιφερειακούς) επισκέπτες, η βιομηχανία 1,7 τρισεκατομμυρίων δολαρίων προβλέπει ετήσιες απώλειες έως και 80%, σύμφωνα με έκθεση του Ιουλίου του Συνεδρίου των Ηνωμένων Εθνών.
Οποιαδήποτε βελτίωση σε αυτόν τον τομέα θα ήταν μεγάλη. Σύμφωνα με στοιχεία του Παγκόσμιου Συμβουλίου Ταξιδιών και Τουρισμού, κάθε αύξηση κατά 1% στις διεθνείς αφίξεις θα προσθέσει 7,23 δισεκατομμύρια δολάρια στο συνολικό ακαθάριστο εγχώριο προϊόν του κόσμου. Η μετακίνηση αυτής της βελόνας έχει αποδειχθεί πρακτικά αδύνατη καθώς οι φόβοι για ένα δεύτερο ιικό κύμα απειλούν να ξεδιπλώσουν την πρόοδο που έχει σημειωθεί σε σχεδόν κάθε ήπειρο.
Την ίδια στιγμή στην Ελλάδα καθώς η χώρα επιχειρεί να επιστρέψει στη κανονικότητα η αξιωματική αντιπολίτευση επιχειρεί να καπηλευθεί με λαικίστικο και δημαγωγικό τρόπο ότι θα της έδινε επιχειρήματα στο αντιπολιτευτικό χωρίς κανόνες και όρια κρεσέντο.
Έτσι σύμφωνα με πληροφορίες η Κουμουνδούρου ήδη από τώρα προσπαθεί να εντοπίσει μέσω ταξιδιωτικών γραφείων Έλληνες οι οποίοι σχεδιάζουν να περάσουν το Πάσχα στο Ντουμπάι. Μάλιστα ο Σύριζα έχει ήδη φυτέψει εδώ “πράκτορες” της Κουμουνδούρου (ανάμεσα στους Έλληνες εργαζόμενους στη χώρα βρίσκονται και Συριζαίοι!) οι οποίοι θα στέλνουν στο κόμμα τόσο πληροφορίες όσο και φωτογραφικό υλικό.
Ο Σύριζα διψά για λαικισμό του καφενείου και η απαγόρευση των ταγαρομετακινήσεων για το Πάσχα στο Χωριό είναι βούτυρο στο ψωμί του εάν συνδυαστεί με Έλληνες που παρτάρουν στο Ντουμπάι.
Από την άλλη το ίσιο το Ντουμπάι τώρα φροντίζει να παίρνει τα απαραίτητα μέτρα και οι επισκέπτες του είναι αναγκασμένοι να τα σεβαστούν και να τα τηρήσουν-διαφορετικά δεν φεύγουν από τη χώρα παρά μόνο εάν πληρώσουν πρόστιμα που κυμαίνονται από 4.000 έως 25.000 ευρώ.

Όλοι αποστάσεις. Έκανες κίνηση να φτάσεις από το τραπέζι σου στη τουαλέτα χωρίς μάσκα, έτρωγες παρατήρηση. Στο δρόμο το ίδιο, όπως και στα αξιοθέατα. Εδώ θα γινόταν το εξής, όπως άλλωστε συνέβη και πέρυσι, αμέσως μετά το άνοιγμα της οικονομίας που συνέπεσε με το άνοιγμα του τουρισμού: 10 μαγαζιά τηρούσαν τα μέτρα κι άλλα 5 έκαναν ακριβώς το αντίθετο. Γέμισε το inbox μου από καταγγελίες επιχειρηματιών της εστίασης για τον διπλανό τους που δεν υπολόγιζε ούτε την υγεία των εργαζομένων του. Πέθαναν Djs, διασωληνώθηκαν σερβιτόροι, μπάρμεν, ένας γνωστός μετρ στη Μύκονο που τίγκαρε το 50 τ.μ μπαρ του με εκατοντάδες τουρίστες κλπ. Μετά γίναμε κακοί εμείς που αναδεικνύαμε το πρόβλημα και καλοί όσοι έκαναν τα στραβά μάτια.

Tourists travelling to Dubai
Before you book
Check if you need a visa. Depending on your nationality you can get a visa on arrival, or you can apply for your prearranged visit visa from Dubai Immigration before you travel.
Rules for travel from South Africa and Nigeria
You will not be able to enter Dubai if you have been in or transited through South Africa or Nigeria in the last 14 days before travelling to Dubai. This is not applicable for UAE nationals who are returning to the UAE and members of diplomatic missions. Members of diplomatic missions travelling from Nigeria must present a negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate from one of the authorised laboratories in Nigeria.

Requirements for all passengers arriving in Dubai
All passengers travelling to Dubai from any point of origin (GCC countries included) must hold a negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure, except for travel from India. Please see the requirements for travel from India below.
The certificate must be a Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test. Other test certificates including antibody tests and home testing kits are not accepted in Dubai. Travellers must bring an official, printed certificate in English or Arabic to check in – SMS and digital certificates are not accepted. PCR certificates in other languages are acceptable if they can be validated at the originating station.
Specific testing rules for travel from India to Dubai
Effective 24 April 2021 and for the next 10 days, passengers who have travelled from or transited through India in the last 14 days will not be accepted to travel from any other point to the UAE.
Passengers travelling from India to Dubai must take a COVID 19 PCR test not more than 48 hours before departure and present the results at check‑in. The UAE government will accept Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT PCR) laboratory results from any lab authorised by the government of India. Laboratory results will only be accepted from authorised labs that generate a QR code linked to the original report.
Test on arrival
Passengers arriving in Dubai from the following countries will be required to take another COVID‑19 PCR test on arrival at Dubai International airport:

Transiting in Dubai
Passengers transiting through Dubai from the following countries are required to present a negative COVID‑19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure, as well as to follow any requirements mandated by their final destination.

Test exemptions:
UAE nationals are exempt from taking a COVID‑19 PCR test before departing to Dubai. They will be tested on arrival in Dubai.Children under the age of 12 and passengers who have a moderate or severe disability are exempt from taking a COVID‑19 PCR test.There may be specific test exemptions in your country of origin and final destination. Please check the requirements before you travel.
COVID‑19 testing laboratories:
The UAE government has specified designated laboratories. You can either use the recommended laboratories in the list or any trusted and certified laboratories in your country of origin to get your COVID‑19 PCR test.If you are flying from India, Pakistan, Nigeria or Bangladesh , you must get your certificate from one of the labs listed in the designated laboratories document to be accepted on the flight.
When you arrive
You may need to take another COVID‑19 PCR test on arrival. Rapid COVID‑19 testing at Dubai International airport for flights to Amsterdam and Copenhagen
All passengers travelling to Amsterdam and Copenhagen must have a negative rapid COVID‑19 test certificate before travel. You can take this test at Dubai International airport at the following locations:

From 14 February 2021, the rapid COVID‑19 test conducted at Dubai Airport facilities will cost AED 150 plus taxes.

Travelling from Dubai to Abu Dhabi
There are strict rules for travelling into Abu Dhabi by road. Those intending to enter Abu Dhabi must have a negative COVID‑19 PCR test result issued within 48 hours or a negative DPI test result within 24 hours. The day of arrival into Abu Dhabi is counted as day 1.
Arriving passengers
If you have just arrived in Dubai and travel straight to Abu Dhabi, you must have a negative COVID‑19 PCR test result issued within 48 hours and take a COVID‑19 PCR test at the border. Travellers from green countries must take another COVID‑19 PCR test on day 6, without the need to quarantine. A COVID‑19 PCR test is required on arrival and on day 8 for passengers arriving from other countries, as well as a 10 day quarantine period. Your quarantine may be at home, in a hotel, or in accommodation provided by the health authorities.
If you have been in other Emirates and then travelling to Abu Dhabi
You must present at the Abu Dhabi border your negative COVID‑19 PCR test results issued within 48 hours or negative laser DPI blood test results issued within 24 hours before entry. DPI tests cannot be used to enter Abu Dhabi consecutive times. Residents and visitors will need to undergo additional tests in AUH based on their period of stay and type of test conducted. For those entering with a negative COVID‑19 PCR test result, they must take another COVID‑19 PCR test on the day 4 and additionally on day 8, if staying for 8 days or more. If entry was with a negative DPI test result, a COVID‑19 PCR test must be conducted on day 3 of entry and on day 7 if the stay is for 7 days or more.
Exemption
Volunteers of the COVID‑19 vaccine trials and those taking the vaccine under the national vaccination programmes with active icons (Letter E or Gold Star) on the Alhosn app are exempted from these measures and are authorised to use emergency vehicle lanes for a smooth journey. All are required to adhere to their respective protocols.
