Η ιστορία μίας ακόμη διασημότητος που ήτο σίγουρη για τις επιλογές της.
Ήταν 5 Ιανουαρίου 2020 όταν η διάσημη παρουσιάστρια του CNN ανακοίνωνε ότι ήταν θετική στον COVID και ότι τα συμπτώματά της ήταν ήπια επειδή είχε ήδη “προλάβει” να εμβολιαστεί πλήρως!
Λίγες ώρες πριν η 67χρονη παρουσιάστρια θα ανακοίνωνε ότι ο καρκίνος επέστρεψε για 3η φορά.
Η ίδια είχε αποκαλύψει την διάγνωση του καρκίνου το 2021.
Η Βρετανοϊρανή δημοσιογράφος Christiane Amanpour επιβεβαίωσε ότι ο καρκίνος της επέστρεψε για τρίτη φορά, αλλά δήλωσε ότι αντιμετωπίζεται «πολύ καλά».
Η 67χρονη παρουσιάστρια του CNN συμβούλεψε τους ανθρώπους να «ακούνε το σώμα τους» κατά τη διάρκεια της εμφάνισής της στην εκπομπή «Changing the Ovarian Cancer Story» με τη γυναικολόγο ογκολόγο Dr. Angela George.
«Το έχω ξανά, αλλά αντιμετωπίζεται πολύ καλά», είπε η Amanpour.

Η Amanpour ανακοίνωσε για πρώτη φορά την αρχική της διάγνωση το 2021, αφού υποβλήθηκε τόσο σε χειρουργική επέμβαση όσο και σε χημειοθεραπεία.
«Αποκάλυψα [τη διάγνωση] δημόσια το 2021 επειδή ήμουν εκτός αέρα για τέσσερις εβδομάδες και ο κόσμος άρχισε να κάνει ερωτήσεις για το πού βρίσκομαι, αν απολύθηκα, αν είμαι ζωντανή, νεκρή, οτιδήποτε», είπε.
«Αποφάσισα να πω κάτι επειδή ήθελα στην πραγματικότητα να προσφέρω μια υπηρεσία, όχι μόνο στους τηλεθεατές μου, αλλά και σε όσους μπορεί να βρίσκονται σε παρόμοια κατάσταση. Ήθελα να πω τι μου είχε συμβεί και να ακούσω το σώμα μου, επειδή ένας από τους λόγους που έλαβα τόσο γρήγορη φροντίδα ήταν επειδή άκουσα το σώμα μου και πήγα κατευθείαν στους γιατρούς», είπε η Amanpour στην παρουσιάστρια Hannah Vaughan Jones.
